MONIQUE ALCALA is a seasoned political professional with 15 years of experience on competitive campaigns across nearly a dozen states. She has worked on both the coordinated and candidate side of general elections, Democratic primaries, and in safe Democratic and Republican districts.
From EMILY’s List to CASA (formerly known as CASA de Maryland) to Terry McAuliffe for Governor, her entire career has been driven by an unwavering commitment to supporting candidates and nonprofit organizations who are fighting for a more equitable, inclusive, and just system.
Monique is based in Austin, TX and recently started a podcast called My First Race, a show where she talks with the country’s top politicos about their very first campaign. In her spare time, she is a runner and a forever beginner boxer. She is also a proud dog mom to Raven and Leia, and regular mom to her UT Longhorn daughter, Kyla.
